KATHMANDU: Dhangadhi Cricket Academy and Ghorahi Cement Industries extended the sponsorship deal here on Wednesday.

DCA President Subash Bahadur Shahi and Ghorahi Cement Industries Marketing Chief Pratik Adhikari exchanged the memorandum of understanding.

As per the three-year deal, Sagarmatha Cement — the product of Ghorahi Cement Industries — will help the DCA in sports gears, tournaments and grassroots programme. “Our association with the DCA is not new and we have sponsored Dhangadhi Premier League in the past,” said Adhikari. “As a company that is committed to the development of cricket, we have decided to contribute in grassroots programme through DCA,” he added.

Shahi thanked the Ghorahi Cement Industries for their noble support. “Sagarmatha Cement has played a key role in developing cricket in the region and also recognise Dhangadhi as Cricket City,” said Shahi. “And this new venture will help in producing champion cricketers in future.
