Kathmandu, January 13:

ECS Manpower won both their matches on the opening day of the Third Gongabu Deep Jyoti Binamay Men’s Volleyball Tournament here today.

ECS defeated Rukum Team 25-16, 25-7, 25-20 before rallying for a 23-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 victory over Ghiring Sundhara Tanahu.

In other matches of the day, Nepal Police Club (NPC) overcame Naya Bazaar 23-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-20, while Naya Bazaar defeated Samakhushi English Boarding (SEB) School 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

In all, eight teams are taking part in the tournament organised by Dhorpatan Training Centre.
