Lalitpur, July 2:

Chhabi Lal Paija made it to the final of the men’s open singles and semi-finals of the men’s open masters’ section here at the first CG TV Squash Tournament today.

Paija registered easy victories in both the events, first defeating Rupak Das Tamrakar 3-0 in the men’s open before outplaying Rajendra Bhakta Shrestha with the identical sets in the masters’ section. In the other men’s singles semi-final Sudip Bahadur Singh beat Gam Bahadur Gurung 3-0.

Likewise, Lokendra Man Singh Bhandari crushed Maduwan Lal Maskey 3-0, Basu Lama overcame Gyan Deep Shakya 3-1, Binayak Shrestha edged past Shiva Kayastha 3-2 and Nishant Agrawal dispatched Sailesh Amatya 3-0 to advance to the second round of the men’s singles Plate Championship.
