Double delight for Riders; Tip Top win

Riders registered double victories in the Tip Top Marwadi Super Eights Cricket Tournament here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium today.
In Group A matches, Riders defeated Hamrokitchen.com by 12 runs and returned to see off Sajangoth Champs by 37 runs.
Put into bat first, Riders scored 78-4 in allotted seven overs before restricting Hamrokitchen to 66-5.
Ashutosh Ghiriya’s 12-ball 26 and Sumit Hadmiya’s 10-ball 20 helped riders reach a fighting total.
In reply, Hamrokitchen failed to reach the target despite Shabham Agrawal scoring 18-ball 38. Anurag Agrawal added run-a-ball 15.
However, Hamrokitchen recorded a 13-run win against I.Store Warriors. Opting to bat first, Hamrokitchen scored 69-5 riding on Shubham Agrawal’s nine-ball 29.
Later, I. Store managed 56-6 despite Pawan Bhanshali contributing 31 off 20 balls.
In another match, opting to bat first Riders reached 116-3 before they restricted Sajangoth to 79-2.
Sumit Kaumiya’s nine-ball 28 and Ashutosh Ghiriya’s 8-ball 15 helped Riders reach a mammoth total. Sajangoth bowlers gave away 52 sundries.
Later, Nikhil Agla’s 17-ball 36 and Sunny Agrawal’s 13-ball 18 for Sajangoth went into vain.
In Group B, Tip Top thrashed KBH Nepal by 42 runs, while Kocher Rangers registered a 20-run win over Fighters.
Put into bat first, Tip Top scored 84-2 before restricting KBH on 42-6.
Amol Sharma’s 32 off 17 and Ashu Kandoi’s unbeaten 22 off 14 guided Tip Top to a fighting total, while KBH’s Pankaj Agrawal was the lone batsman to reach double figure with 10 off six.
Similarly, put into bat first Kocher reached 87-4 riding on Omesh Kocher’s unbeaten 10-ball 20 and Hitesh Dalmiya’s 18 off 12.
In reply, Fighters managed 67-5 despite Rohit Sharma remaining unbeaten on 16-ball 27.
