KATHMANDU: Both the teams of Valley Public reached the finals of the fourth Valley Public Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Friday. In the senior boys' semi-final, Valley Public 'A' defeated defending champions Gyan Niketan 41-29. Biraj Rana and Sagar Sharma netted 15 points each for the winners. In the senior girls' semi-final clash, the hosts overcame Daffodil 28-7 riding on 10 points each from Parina Waiwa and Rojee Karki. In the senior boys' final, the hosts will face Kathmandu Xavier, who registered a 66-60 win over Greenland. Asmin Shrestha posted match winning 35 points for Kathmandu Xavier. In the second semi-final of senior girls' section, Prithvi defeated Clinton Public 24-10 with Geeta Khadka contributing seven points.
