Bombay, March 22:

Andrew Flintoff and Shaun Udal helped England humble India by 212 runs on Wednesday to level the three-Test series 1-1.

India lost seven wickets for just 25 runs after lunch which helped offspinner Udal pick up four dismissals for 14 runs. Man of the series Flintoff struck three for 14.

India was all out for 100 runs after lunch, chasing a victory target of 313 .

England inflicted three vital blows in seven overs in the second session, dismissing Dravid, Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. From 75/3 at lunch, India slumped to 77/6 and never recovered.

Dravid (9) was a surprised by a delivery from seamer Flintoff that cut back sharply from outside the off-stump taking the edge of his bat to keeper Geraint Jones.

Tendulkar departed in the next over after he played a Udal ball into the hands of Bell at forward short leg for 34.

Virender Sehwag, hampered by a back problem, came to bat with a runner and was dismissed by James Anderson without scoring after playing 16 balls.

India earlier lost opener Wasim Jaffer (10) and night watchman Anil Kumble (8) cheaply in the morning, trapped lbw by seamers Flintoff and Matthew Hoggard respectively.

India, which lost stand-in opener Irfan Pathan for six runs on Tuesday, resumed the innings on Wednesday at 18 for one, requiring 238 runs for victory - a target never successfully chased at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
