EPL: Two skippers gunning for final showdown tomorrow

KATHMANDU: After suffering two defeats at the hands of Biratnagar Warriors, wounded Bhairahawa Gladiators will be looking for a better showing against title favourite in the final showdown of TVS Everest Premier League tomorrow.

Biratnagar Warriors had defeated Bhairahawa Gladiators by 35 runs in their group game and returned to hunt them down by 8 wickets in the first qualifier match of the tournament.

During a press meet prior to the final show down tomorrow, Warriors skipper Khadka echoed that his team is looking to keep the momentum going, despite humbling Bhairahawa Gladiators twice in the tournament.

Khadka said they are not buoyed by title favourite tag, rather looking to hold their composure and momentum in the final hurdle of the campaign.

His counterpart Veswakar said they have special game plan for their Hong Kong duo of Babay Hyat and Anshuman Rath who have undoubtedly been brilliant with the bat.

Veswakar said his team is full of confidence in beating title favourite Warriors in tomorrow's game.

Biratnagar Warriors are led by national skipper Paras Khadka, who have collected more trophies than any other players in domestic games. Cool head Khadka has brilliantly led his team undefeated in the tournament.

Similarly, Bhairahawa Gladiators who suffered two defeats against Warriors during the campaign are looking to take revenge of earlier loss by lifting a coveted trophy tomorrow.

Bhairahawa Gladiators are skippered by veteran all rounder Sarad Veswakar.

The final will be played tomorrow at the TU Cricket Stadium, in Kirtipur, according to the organiser.

The winner of tomorrow's match will be awarded with Rs 2.1 million along with trophies.
