KATHMANDU: The Excelsior School is organising the ninth Excelsior Cup from Thursday. The Cup includes basketball and football tournaments, informed Founder Principal of the School Ram Basnet at a press meet on Wednesday.
A total of 30 teams -14 in U-12 section and 16 in U-16 category - will compete in five-a-side football, while 13 teams each will take part in boys' and girls' basketball tournaments.
All the matches will be played on the premises of the Excelsior School in Swoyambhu.
"We are resuming the Excelsior Cup, which was stopped due to coronavirus pandemic, for the overall development of students," said Principal Basnet.
