TEDx Maitighar, an officially licensed TED event, announced its fourth iteration on June 29 at Loyola Campus of St. Xavier's College, Kathmandu.

Following the colossal success of previous editions in 2019, 2021, and 2023, each featuring inspiring speakers and impactful talks, TEDx Maitighar 2024 is committed to exploring and sharing worthwhile ideas locally, the press release issued by the TEDx Maitighar organiser committed said.

Under the inspiring theme "Diverse Dimensions: A Kindred Kaleidoscope", the event will delve into encouraging the promotion of a more inclusive and interconnected society by cultivating an understanding of a diverse array of perspectives through shared individual stories. The theme encapsulates the idea of embracing the diverse facets of life-intellectual, emotional, cultural, and societal-while recognizing the shared unity that binds us, the statement added.

TED is a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and disseminating ideas that spark imagination, embrace possibilities, and prompt significant impact. Established in 1984 as a conference merging Technology, Entertainment, and Design, TED has since expanded to cover a vast array of topics, including science, business, education, arts, and global issues, sharing ideas and experiences in over 100 languages. TED invites individuals from all disciplines and cultures who seek a deeper understanding of the world and aim to build connections through sharing new perspectives.

TEDx Maitighar 2024 will feature a diverse lineup of national and international speakers including Actress Keki Adhikari, CEO of reAlpha Giri Devanaur, Marketing Director of InDrive Natalia Makarenko, and Photojournalist at The Himalayan Times Skanda Gautam. Not only that, the event will witness three sets of entertaining performances including a musical performance by Kuma Sagar, classical dance by Aesthetic Dance Studio and a drama performance by Mokshada Theatre, it said.

This year, TEDx Maitighar will continue to inspire participants to embrace unity amidst diversity, promoting a more inclusive and interconnected society. Through shared stories and profound insights, the event aims to nurture individual transformation and societal progress.
