RAMECHHAP: Far-west Region won the title of the third Ramechhap Civil Volleyball Championship here at Manthali on Saturday.

Far-west were declared the winners after another finalists Shantideep Youth Club quit the match in the final set while trailing 9-12.

Earlier, Shantideep won the first set 28-26 before Far-west made it 1-1 claiming the second 25-15. Shantideep took the third set 25-21 and Far-west took the match to final set winning the fourth one 25-17.

Shantideep then quit the match protesting low light and officials declared Far-west as winners. Far-west earned

Rs 150,000 and Shantideep received Rs 100,000.

Meanwhile, Manthali United defeated Democratic Sports Association 3-2 to finish third and they got Rs 35,000.
