LALITPUR: Little Angels’ School and Modern Indian School advanced to the semi-finals of the 23rd Father Moran Memorial Invitational Football Tournament here at the St Xavier’s Godavari School grounds on Tuesday.

In the day’s first match, LA defeated Crescent Academy 6-2. Player-of-the-match Prasun Tuladhar completed a hat-trick, while Ashutosh Lawat netted two and Sonam Gurung scored one for LA. Shiva Thapa Magar and Nirjal Tamang replied for Crescent. In another quarter-final match, MIS beat Jhapa-based St Xavier’s School 4-2. Tushan Man Singh, Aman Rayamajhi and Jenish Dawadi scored one goal each for MIS, who were also gifted with an own goal. Aashap Bhujel scored both the goals for St Xavier’s. Riwaj Ghimire of St Xavier’s was named the player of the match.
