NVA President Manoranjan Raman Sharma and Vice-president of FNCCI Umesh Lal Shrestha exchanged the memorandum of understanding amidst a signing ceremony. As per the MoU, FNCCI will provide the NVA with four million rupees to conduct the tournament. In return, the FNCCI will be treated as the sponsor.

“We are grateful to the FNCCI and vice-president Shrestha for the generous support at a time when we are hosting a big tournament,” said NVA General Secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand. The estimated cost of the tournament is Rs 25 million and Chand said the NVA was looking for more sponsors from corporate houses. “We need to make it a grand success as were hosting the first tournament of this scale,” he added.

A total of seven teams — Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Afghanistan, Kyrguzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan — will take part in the event.

Meanwhile, Annaljyoti School Principal and NVA Member Jyoti KC and President of Dhorpatan Sports Club Manbir Chhantyal announced the financial support of Rs 100,000 each for the tournament.
