FIFA ranking: Static Nepal lag behind leapfrogging Bhutan

KATHMANDU: Nepal have retained their 170th position in the FIFA ranking published on Thursday.

However, they received a shock as the South Asian peer Bhutan climbed 13 slots to reach the 164th spot.

India topped the list among SAARC countries by jumping 31 slots to reach the 101st position.

The Maldives slid down 13 steps to reach the 151st place while Afghanistan have climbed three steps to claim the 153rd spot.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are placed in 193rd, 197th and 201st positions respectively.

Brazil topped the ranking followed by Argentina and Germany respectively.
