KATHMANDU: Odyssey, Reliance and SEB School won the titles of the first Inter-school Basketball Tournament organised by the Kathmandu Xavier Public School here on Monday.

Odyssey defeated Basundhara National Academy 21-17 in the boys’ section final riding on 13 points from Sagar Lama. Pushpa Kumari Bam scored 12 points as Reliance won the girls’ trophy with a 15-4 victory over Universal.

Likewise, SEB beat hosts Kathmandu Xavier 15-14 in the junior boys’ section final with Rabi Sharma scoring eight points for the winning team. Kathmandu Xavier Principal RB Adhikari and national basketball team member Ashim Shrestha handed over the prizes to the winners. A total of 32 teams took part in the tournament.
