Flintoff off to Dubai for rehab
LONDON: England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff announced on Tuesday he would be spending a couple of months in Dubai as part of his recovery from a knee injury.
The 31-year-old underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee the day after England’s Ashes series-winning Test victory at the Oval last month — his last before an injury-induced retirement from the five-day game. Now the Lancashire star, who wants to continue as an ODI player, is set to move his family out to the UAE before the Christmas holidays.
“It’s always easier doing rehabilitation in warm weather and that’s the main reason why we’ve decided to go to Dubai,” said Flintoff. Flintoff will work with former England physio Dave Roberts as he bids to regain full fitness.
