Foundation stone laid for sports hospital
Kathmandu, June 18
Former Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Sripaili, National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and Vice-president Lama Tendi Sherpa laid the foundation stone of the sports hospital at the NSC premises today.
The 108th board meeting of the sports’ governing body on June 3 had decided to construct a 10-bed sports hospital at the cost of Rs 140 million. The hospital will be constructed within three years.
Sripaili said the moment of laying foundation stone for the sports hospital was a historic moment for Nepali sports and athletes. “Although, construction of the sports hospital is a tough task, my target was to finish the work done,” said Sripaili.
Similarly, NSC Vice-president Sherpa urged the authorities to focus on having adequate facilities and professionals at the hospital.
NSC Member Secretary Bista said the hospital was being built for players and sports personalities.
