LALITPUR: Nepal IKO Kyokushin Kaikan Karate Association is organising the first National Men’s and Women’s Kyokushin Kaikan Full Contact Karate Tournament at the International Sports Complex on Friday and Saturday.

The tournament will feature men’s 40kg, 50kg, 60kg and 70kg weight categories along with open event in both sections, informed the organisers at a press meet on Monday.

Around 100 karatekas from seven provinces will compete in the event.

The top three in open weight categories will earn Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively, while the medallists in other sections will receive Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,500 respectively.
