Kathmandu, May 31:

Graded English Medium School (GEMS) defeated Ratna Rajya (RR) High School 1-0 to enter the Group C final of the qualifying tournament for the Coca Cola Inter-School National Football Tournament today.

Samrat Basnet scored the winner in the ninth minute for GEMS, who will now face the Group D winner for a place in the main draw.

In Group E, Man Singh High School, Trungram International Academy and Lovely Angels’ entered the quarter-finals. Man Singh earned walk over win against Rajan Memorial School, while TIA thrashed Canvas School 8-0 riding on a hat-trick from Gagan Thapa and Lovely Angels’ beat Indra Dhanus 3-0 on goals from Bikram Poudel, Dipak Chaulagain and Anuj Rijal.
