KATHMANDU: Golden Gate International College and Saipal Academy won the titles of the Xavier Cup U-19 Basketball Tournament here on Tuesday.

Golden Gate defeated hosts Xavier International 68-65 in the closely-contested boys’ final. Prajwal Malla top scored for Golden Gate with 25 points.

In girls’ section final, Saipal beat Samriddhi 59-45 in which Roshani Shrestha netted 19 points for the winners.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal and Xavier International College CEO Lok Bhandari handed over the prizes to the winners.
