LALITPUR: Barun Thapa won the 3.4km race under the second Godavari Sports Festival that kicked off on Saturday.

Peter Moktan and Rajshree Dahal finished second and third respectively. In women’s category, Malati Sunuwar, Sulochana Budha Magar and Sikshya Raut bagged top three positions respectively.

The Festival, which is being organised by Godavari Martial Arts, features eight sports disciplines — karate, taekwondo, handball, chess, football, road race, cycling and badminton. — HNS
