KATHMANDU: Gorkhali Rugby Club and Tribhuvan Army Club recorded victories in the first round matches of the Fifteens Rugby League here at the Dasharath Stadium on Sunday.
Gorkhali defeated Himalayan Tiger Rugby Club 67-17 while TAC outplayed Akash Bhairav 72-0. A total of four teams are taking part in the third edition of the League organised by Nepal Rugby Association.
The second round matches are slated for Wednesday, while the third and final round matches will be played on Saturday. Earlier, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising inaugurated the tournament.
