KATHMANDU, JUNE 18

The team of Aarav Gurung, Suyog Kadel and Supriya Sitaula won the title of the Junior Scramble Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played over nine holes under the scramble format with scratch handicap, the winning team carded one-over 35.

Shornima Bastakoti, Avanie Rai and Jenish Shrestha came second on count back after they were tied on 37 with Aaiesteena Tanddan, Dipesh Dev and Reju Rai. The top three teams received trophies and gift hampers.

Simon Shrestha won the longest drive award, while Suyesh Rajbahak came second. Likewise, Srisha Kadel and Manjil Khulal claimed top two spots in chipping competition, whereas Jenish Shrestha and Soyam Shrestha were winner and runner-up respectively in putting.

A total of 46 golfers took part in the one-day event organised by Royal Nepal Golf Club. RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha and Golf Development Chairman Manohar Das Mool and Executive Committee Member Rabin Rana handed over the prizes to the winners.
