Thapa moves to second position

Lalitpur, January 11

Nepal Police Club’s Hari Bahadur Thapa scored 573 points out of 600 and moved the second position in men’s 10m Air Rifle event of the National Shooting Tournament here at the International Sports Complex today.

Dhan Bahadur BK of Western had scored 575 points on Wednesday. Similarly, Tribhuvan Army Club’s Krishna Ghorasaini accumulated 570 points to be third in the standing, followed by Mid-western Region’s Pawan Ghimire (569).

In women’s section, Central’s Sinduja Basnet and Nepal Police Club’s Durga Sinjali accumulated 379 points each out of 400, while Amita Shrestha of Eastern got 343 points. Sushmita Nepal of Central and Sneha RL Rana of Western are top two respectively with 383 points each.

In men’s 10m Air pistol, Bishnu Kumar Bishwa Magar of TAC earned 533 points out of 600, while Raju Thapa of Eastern scored 517 points and TAC’s Ramlal Gurung accumulated 512 points. TAC’s Kuber KC leads the standing with 543 points.

In women’s event, NPC’s Sabita Basnet scored 357 points, TAC’s Sunita Maharjan garnered 345 points and Far-west’s Sabitra Bohara scored 321 points out of 400. TAC’s Sarita Basnet had scored 358 points on Wednesday.
