Hasanpur Royals climbed to the second spot of the Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadhi Cricket League-3 with a thrilling victory, while leaders Campus Road suffered their second defeat today.

Hasanpur defeated Chauraha in super over. Hasanpur overcame the five-run target with ease in Super Over that sent them to second position with six points. Campus Road (six) are at the top on superior run rate.

Earlier, both the teams were tied at 145 runs. Man-of-the-match Binod Lama top scored for Hasanpur with 46 off 36 balls that included three fours and three sixes. Sonu Tamang, who took 4-20, returned to score a quick fire 43 off just 23 balls that included two fours and four sixes. Chauraha needed 19 off 11 balls with four wickets on hand but they managed 18. Binod Lama of Hasanpur grabbed two wickets and affected a run out in the final over.

In another match, Attariya beat Campus Road by six wickets. Campus Road were bowled out for 107 in 19.2 overs before Attariya raced to 108-4 with two balls to spare. Santosh Bhatt top scored for Campus Road with 39 off 37 with three fours and a six. In reply, opener Surendra Chand’s unbeaten 59-ball 50 helped Attariya register their second win of the tournament. Chand struck five fours and a six.
