POKHARA: Hemja United Club and RT Centre recorded wins in the sixth Sangam Cup Football Tournament at the Pokhara Stadium on Saturday.

In the inaugural match, Hemja defeated Kajipokhari FC 4-1.

Ishowor Nepali scored a brace, while Suman Sunar and Ashimt Kunwar added a goal each for Hemja. Hemant Tamang scored the consolation goal for Kajipokhari.

In another match, RT Centre saw off Hill Point School 2-0 on goals from Saugat Rana and Pradeep Pariyar.

A total of 23 teams are competing in the tournament.

Top two teams will earn Rs 125,000 and Rs 65,000 respectively.

Similarly, the best player of the tournament will get Rs 7,000, while the highest scorer, best goalkeeper, defender and striker will take home Rs 5,000 each.
