Hetauda Gold Cup set for February kickoff

Suman Bhomjan Memorial Sports Foundation is set to organise the third Hetauda  International Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Institute of Forestry  grounds from February 17-24.

A total of seven teams — Laxmi  Hundai Manang Marshyangdi, Ruslan Three Star Club, Nepal APF Club, Bijay  Youth Club of Hetadua, Khaptad Football Club, Jhapa-XI and Sahara  Club — will compete in the tournament, informed tournament coordinator and  Foundation’s Vice-president Bishal Ghosh at a press meet today.

Foundation President Bhesh Khadgi said the tournament would be organised in a bigger way this time around.

The  estimated budget of the tournament is six million rupees, while the organisers are yet to decide the cash prizes  for the winners.

However, the  best player of the tournament will get Rs 25,000, while other individual  award winners will take home Rs 10,000 each.

Similarly, the  man-of-the-match in every game will be awarded with Rs 5,000.
