Hims, Heartland, Gandhi Adarsh and Arunima registered victories in the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Football Tournament here at the Sano Gaucharan grounds on Friday.

In the first match of the day, Hims School thumped Pawan Prakriti Higher Secondary School 3-0 riding on a brace from Akash Tamang, while Rihaj Shakya added one.

Tamang provided the lead in the 35th minute, while Shakya extended the tally in the 48th minute. Tamang scored his second goal in the injury time of the match.

Likewise, Heartland thrashed Bal Gitanjali English School 4-1 riding on a hat-trick from Piyush Adhikari. Smile Maharjan put Heartland ahead in the 17th minute, while Adhikari doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Sujan Basnet of Bal Gitanjali cut the deficit in the 59th minute. Adhikari scored in the 65th and 69th to complete his hat-trick.

In another match, Rupesh Adhikari’s solitary goal helped Gandhi Adarsh Higher Secondary School edge past Buddha English Secondary School 1-0. Adhikari scored in the 47th minute.

In the last match of the day, Arunima Higher Secondary School defeated Madan Smarak School 2-0. Bipin Bimali opened the scoring in the 11th minute and Ajay Tamang doubled the tally in the 63rd minute.
