Homelamd Baording School earned a walkover win from Welhams Boarding School and entered the Group F quarter-finals of the selection tournament for the Coca Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament here today.
Others who made it to the quarter-finals were Midland Boarding School, Children Liberty English Boarding School and Bright Horizon Children’s Home.
Midland came from behind to beat Akash Deep Boarding School 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
In the other match, Rajan Chaulagain scored a hat-trick as Children Liberty thrashed Mahendra Adarsha Vidhyashram 7-0. Buddha Lama opened the scoring in the 21st minute, while Chaulagain made it 3-0 scoring in the 31st and 40th minutes. He completed his hat-trick in the 64th minute. Manish Rijal struck twice in the 55th and 68th minute, while Ayush Sherpa scored in the 43d minute.
Likewise, Bright Horizon routed Grees Academy 6-0. Sange Lama scored the first two goals, while Mingma Lama struck twice. Pushkar Lama and Rijan Wangel Gurung also joined the party.
