Hosts advance to final

Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) ‘A’ defeated B team of the hosts by 77 runs in the semi-final match of the 1st CCRC Cup HSEB-level Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today. CCRC ‘A’ will face the winner of the Friday’s semi-final between Little Angles’ and Kathmandu Don Bosco College. Elected to bat first, CCRC ‘A’ scored 131 runs losing three wickets in their allotted 25 overs. Bikash Tamang top-scored with 44 off 60 balls including four fours. Punit scored 33 off 66 balls with two boundaries.

For CCRC ‘B’, Sagar, Ritesh and Saroj took one wicket apiece. In reply, CCRC ‘A’ were bowled out for just 54 runs in just 17.1 overs. Except for Hitesh (10), rest of the batsmen failed to reach double figure mark. For CCRC ‘A’, Jigme Sherpa grabbed four wickets conceding seven runs in 4.1 overs, supported by Anuj, who claimed three wickets giving away 15 runs in four overs. Binod Joshi and Pratik grabbed one wicket each. Jigme Sherpa of CCRC ‘A’ was declared man of the match.
