KATHMANDU: Hosts Seven-A-Side Federation and New Road Team entered the semi-finals of the second Pepsi International Seven-A-Side Football Tournament here at the Dasharath Stadium today.

Hosts edged past Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club 2-1 and NRT overcame Nepali Army with the identical scoreline. Both the teams scored the winner during the 10 minutes of added time after a 1-1 stalemate in the regular 50 minutes of play.

Amir Shrestha had provided APF the lead in the 17th minute but Vijay Gurung equalised a minute later for the hosts. The match was extended for further 10 minutes and Uttam Gurung, who was later adjudged man of the match, found the winner two minutes from time for the hosts.

In the other match, NRT took the lead through fourth minute goal from man of the match Khum Gurung but Bikarna Shrestha forced the match into extra time with a goal in the 35th minute for the Nepali Army. Bal Gopal Sahukhala ensured NRT move into the semi-finals with a decider in the eighth minute of the added time.
