Huetter wins super-G

LENZERHEIDE: Austria’s Cornelia Huetter took Saturday’s women’s World Cup super-G in Lenzerheide with crystal globe favourite Lara Gut having to settle for fifth. Gut could have wrapped up the super-G title with victory but the Swiss skier will now have to wait until next weekend’s World Cup final in Saint Moritz to assure her place at the top of the discipline’s standings. She lies second to US star Lindsey Vonn, who has had to call a premature end to her season with a knee injury.
