Prakash Wagle scored a hat-trick as Image Channel thumped Nepal Television 5-0 in the final of the fourth San Miguel Media Cup Football Tournament, organised on the occasion of the 34th birthday of Crown Prince Paras, here at Sano Gaucharan today. Wagle opened the scoring for in the seventh minute. In the 29th minute, Bikarna Shrestha doubled the tally, while Suraj Shrestha converted a 25-yard free-kick making it 3-0 in the 50th minute.

In the 64th minute Wagle scored his second goal and completed the hat-trick through a penalty in the dying moments. Prof Dr Ratna Kamal Baidya, president of Main Civic Committee, and Arun Adhikari, brand manager of Gorkha Brewery, gave away prizes to the winners. In all, 10 teams participated in the tournament. Gorkha Brewery was the main sponsor, of the tournament also supported by Mayos Noodles, Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation, Distar TV and HP Lubricants.
