Embassy of India (EoI) defeated Kantipur Publications by three wickets and entered the semi-finals of the Soaltee Crowne Plaza (SCP) Super Sixes Cricket Tournament, which has been organised by SCP here at TU Stadium. In the quarter-final match, Kantipur was bowled out for just 44 runs in 4.3 overs, and the three time defending champions EoI overcame the target losing three wickets in 4.1 overs. The other quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will be held on Sunday. Earlier, Nepal Investment Bank entered the last eight as runner-up from Group A after The Himalayan Times pulled out of its last league-round match against the group toppers EoI. Others who entered the quarter-finals are Kumari Bank and Kantipur (Group B), Soaltee Crowne Plaza and Himalayan Bank (Group C), and Standard Chartered Bank and Surya Nepal (Group D).

In the league-round matches, Kantipur Publications (66/1) beat International Leasing and Finance Company (65/2) by five wickets; Bhotekoshi Power Company (82/0) defeated ILFC (81/2) by six wickets; Soaltee (67/2) beat Himalayan Bank (66/2) by four wickets; and Soaltee (61/2) defeated NIC Bank (47/2) by 14 runs. In Group D matches, Surya Nepal (62/1) beat Dabur Nepal (61/3) by five wickets; United Finance (75) beat Surya Nepal (62) by 13 runs; and Dabur Nepal (68/2) defeated United Finance (67/2) by four wickets. In Sunday’s quarters, it’s: Nepal Investment Bank vs Kumari Bank; Soaltee vs Surya Nepal; and Himalayan bank vs Standard Chartered Bank.
