KATHMANDU: Innovative School and Himalayan Happy Children Academy advance to the boys’ category semi-finals of the 11th Shridiwa Monsoon Meet Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Friday.

In the quarter-final matches, Innovative saw off Himalaya International 36-24 riding on Anish Maharjan’s eight points, while HHCA defeated Wilson Academy 75-50 in which Raj Kumar Rai top scored with 17 points for the winners.

In the semi-finals, Innovative will play against Gyan Niketan, while HHCA will meet Odyssey.

In girls’ section, Innovative outplayed St Xavier’s 22-20 and RIBS beat Gyanodaya 40-34 to enter the semis.
