LALITPUR: Kumari Bank, Global IME Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Mega Bank, Civil Bank, Prabhu Bank, Himalayan Bank and NMB Bank advanced to the quarter-finals of the first Skoda Inter-bank Futsal Championship here at the Active Sports Complex on Saturday.

A total of 20 teams competed in the group stage matches and top two each from four pools made it to the last eight.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on August 3.

The tournament is organised by Active Sports Complex under the sponsorship of Morang Auto Works.

Earlier, national football team vice-captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong inaugurated the tournament.
