Int’l Karate C’ships
KATHMANDU: IWFN Karate Do Association is organising the first IWF International Karate Championship here at the National Sports Council covered hall from Saturday.
A total of 400 karatekas — 200 from Nepal and other 200 from India, Bangladesh and Bhutan — will compete in the two-day tournament, informed IWFN Karate Do Association President Laxman Lamsal at a press meet on Friday.
The tournament will feature 22 weight categories — 12 in men’s and 10 in women’s in the kumite section — and kata events in both categories apart from team fights.
