KATHMANDU: Far-western Goju-Ryu Karate Association is organising the seventh Open International Karate Tournament from November 19-21 at the Dhangadhi Regional Stadium.

A total of 800 players will participate in the tournament, informed the organisers at a press meet on Sunday. Three Hundred players from Nepal will compete in the tournament which is held once in every two years. Meanwhile, the association signed the sponsorship deal with Naya Shakti Nepal — a campaign in social media — for the tournament.

As per the agreement signed by joint convenor of Naya Shakti Nepal Kamal Raj Shrestha and organising committee president Narad Muni Rana, the sponsors will provide Rs 800,000 for the tournament.
