KATHMANDU: The International Society for Medical Education (ISME) Pvt Ltd inked co-sponsorship deal with Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) for the Pulsar Player of the Year (PoY) Awards here today.

It is the second biggest sponsorship deal for the Awards after the main sponsor Bajaj Pulsar. Managing Director of ISME Pvt Ltd Nagender K Pampati and President of the NSJF Niranjan Rajbanshi signed the agreement today. The co-sponsor — ISME Pvt Ltd and ISME Housing — have already provided Rs 300,000 to NSJF.

Speaking on the occasion Pampati said he was happy to have contributed for the Nepali sports. “So far I have been associated with golf and now this opportunity has given me an immense pleasure,” added Pampati. “It’s important to recognise players’ achievement, if you are to find new talents,” said Pampati praising the NSJF’s initiatives for the development of Nepali sports. He also expressed his commitment to continue with the support. “I am always ready to help,” he added.

NSJF President Rajbanshi said that the Awards is gaining a distinct recognition in the Nepali sports fraternity because of the eagerness and readiness of corporate houses and generous individuals like Pampati. NSJF general secretary Hemanta Kafle thanked Pampati for his huge support. “It is because of individuals like him (Pampati) who have helped Nepali sports gain new status,” said Kafle.
