JHAPA: Jhapa-XI advanced to the semi-finals of the International Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament with a 3-2 win over Kaski–XI here on Saturday.  Ganesh Khadka, Dilen Loktan and Karna Limbu scored a goal apiece for the hosts, while Sushil Lama and Uttam Gurung netted one apiece for Kaski at the Domalal Rajbanshi grounds. Khadka opened the scoring for the hosts in the 10th minute, before Lama levelled the scores in the 19th minute. Loktan put Jhapa ahead for the second time with a goal in the 25th minute, while Gurung scored the equaliser in the 50th minute. At a time when the match was heading towards the extra time, Limbu sealed the victory for the hosts in the 87th minute. On Sunday, Nepal Police Club will take on Tribhuvan Army Club.
