Jhapa enter quarters

Jhapa-XI reached the quarter-finals of the Mahendra Gold Cup football tournament defeating Sahara Club 4-3 in tie breaker.
The game went to tie breaker when both teams could not break the 1-1 deadlock in extra time.
Deepak Tamang, Bijay Subba and Yugal Kishor Rai scored for Jhapa in tie breaker. Naresh KC and Santosh Shrestha converted the shots for Sahara. Sangeet Shakya hit the cross bar, while Jhapa keeper Puran Subba saved the spot kick from Prem Pun.
Earlier, Sahara took lead in the 24th minute through Naresh KC, who beat past Jhapa custodian Puran Subba snatching the ball from defender Deepak Tamang.
Man of the match Yugal Kishor Rai levelled the score in the 41st minute of the second half. On Monday, Three Star Club will take on George Telegraph of India.
