Judokas to leave for Uzbekistan

KATHMANDU: An eight-member Nepali team is on Sunday leaving for Uzbekistan to participate in the Asian Senior Judo Championship slated for April 13-17. Phupu Lhamu Khatri, who is currently undergoing training in Hungary as part of Rio Olympic Games scholarship, will participate in 63kg weight category, while Leela Adhikari (52kg), Manita Shrestha Pradhan (57kg) and Ramesh Magar (66kg) are the other players in the Nepali team. Coach Chandra Kumar Dangol, manager Pramod Prasad Nepal and referee Manoj Bahadur KC will accompany the players to Uzbekistan, while Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya is scheduled to participate in the executive committee meeting of the Judo Union of Asia.
