JHAPA: Kakarvitta Football Training Centre defeated Indian Army’s Blue Team of Shillong 3-2 in tie-breaker to sail into the semi-finals of the Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta Gold Cup on Sunday.

The winners were decided through penalty shout out after both the teams played a goalless draw. Sanjay Rajbhag, Jeevan Gurung and Samsung converted their penalties for Kakarvitta, while Lal Madon Puya and Lal RamdoyaMoya scored for Indian side. Kakarvitta’s goalie Alen Neupane was named the man-of-the-match and got Rs 5,000. On Monday, Rupandesh-XI will meet Fans Club BRC of Bhutan.
