JHAPA: Hosts Kakarvitta Football Training Centre defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club 1-0 and advanced to the semi-finals of the Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Monday.

Nirajan Khadka scored the solitary goal of the match when he converted a free kick from the edge of the area in the 22nd minute.

Kakarvitta will now face Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club in Wednesday’s semi-final match.

Khadka was named the man-of-the-match and he earned Rs 10,000. In Tuesday’s first semi-final match, Tribhuvan Army Club will play against Nepal Police Club.
