KATHMANDU: A five-member Nepali karate team is on Wednesday leaving for Dubai to participate in the Al-Ali Open Dubai Karate Premier League slated for April 7-12. Mukunda Maharjan will take part in 67kg weight category in kumite, while Monday Kaji Shrestha will participate in men’s singles kata, informed coach Deepak Shrestha at a farewell programme on Tuesday. Team leader Mahesh Ranjit and manager Santosh Shrestha will accompany the players to Dubai. Member secretary of National Sports Council Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team.
