KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Scramble Golf Tournament tees off here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) on Friday. Fifteen corporate houses have sponsored teams that are taking part in the one-day event, said RNGC, the organisers of the event. Each team comprises of a professional and three amateur golfers. The best score among the four-member team will be counted to decide the winners of the tournament to be played in strokeplay scratch handicap format.

ISME Pvt Ltd has bought three teams, while Himalayan Bank and Salt Trading have two teams each. Temple Tiger, Himalayan Distillery, KIA Motors, Vijay Motors, Laxmi Bank, Beesants Traders, Air Dynasty and Gorkha Brewery have one team each. Top pro Shiva Ram Shrestha, Deepak Thapa Magar, Rabi Khadka, Deepak Acharya, Ramesh Nagarkoti, Pashupati Sharma, Radhe Shyam Thapa, Surya Sharma, Deepak Neupane, Sachin Bhattarai, Sanjay Lama, CB Bhandari, Ram Thapa, Rajan Thapa and Krishna Hari Mizar are the pros representing the business houses. Each team costs the corporate houses Rs 25,000, said the RNGC.
