LALITPUR: Kathmandu University advanced to the girls’ basketball tournament final in the 11th LA Cup organised by Little Angels’ College of Management here on Sunday.

KU defeated Himalaya Engineering College 15-6 in the semi-final match and set the final date with Xavier International.

In boys’ basketball, St Xavier’s and The British College entered the semi-finals. St Xavier’s defeated KU 41-18, while The British College beat Himalaya 44-25.

Likewise in the football tournament, Xavier International outplayed The British College 4-1 after both the teams failed to score in the regulation and extra time.
