KCMIT enter semis

KATHMANDU: Kantipur College of Management and Information Technology thrashed Kist College by 71 runs and advanced to the semi-finals of the BBA Cup here at the Mulpani grounds on Saturday.

Put into bat first, KCMIT were bowled out for 151 runs in 19.5 overs before packing Kist for 80 runs in 15 overs. Rakesh Banepali scored run-a-ball 48 hitting eight boundaries to help KCMIT post the fighting total. Kist’s Pravesh Aryal and Prabesh Dahal claimed three wickets each.

In reply, Pravesh Aryal top scored for Kist with 26-ball 18 not out hitting a four. KCMIT’s Saroj Mandal and Sarwan Bhandari claimed four wickets each. Meanwhile, the match between Shankar Dev Campus and Prime College was postponed for Sunday due to rain. — HNS
