Kathmandu, February 22:

K&K College defeated Pashupati Multiple Campus ‘A’ 2-0 in the final of the third Kwik’s Cup Inter-college Football Tournament organised by Friendship Group, here at Sano Gaucharan today.

Roshan Shrestha put K&K ahead in the 17th minute and Bal Krishna Prajapati doubled the tally in the 64th minute. Pashupati goalkeeper Prakash Shrestha was named the man of the match. The winners got Rs 11,001 while the runners up bagged Rs 7,500.

The individual award winners were Pradeep Khadka of Kantipur Campus (best goalkeeper), Kapil Sinkeman of Xavier International (best defender), Nabin Basnet of K&K (best midfielder), Pawan Raj Kharel of Pashupati ‘B’ (best forward) and Brookfield College (fair play award).

National Sports Council member secretary Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Armed Police Force AIG Ravi Raj Thapa, tournament technical committee president Rajendra Jung Shahi, marketing committee president Devendra Jung Shahi and tournament coordinator Jebin Dhoj Shahi gave away prizes to the winners. Kathmandu District FA was the co-host of the tournament, which was participated in by 28 teams.
