Kathmandu, September 25:

Kumari Youth Club qualified for the ‘B’ Division after defeating Nawa Jyoti Youth Club 3-0 in the Western Union Martyrs Memorial ‘C’ Division League Football here today.

The win in the Super Six stage was Kumari’s fourth in as many matches. The last round matches on Thursday will decide the second and the last berth.

Himalayan Sherpa Club are second in the standings with nine points, three fewer than Kumari while Nava Jyoti have seven. With the day’s results, the hopes of Chyasal Youth Club, Garuda Sports Club and Shree Kumari Club have vanished. Chyasal have four points while Garuda and Shree Kumari have one each.

In other matches, Himalayan Sherpa hammered Garuda 10-3 and Chyasal beat Shree Kumari 1-0 on a goal from Sanju Chaudhary. Deep Lama and Hari Thakuri scored a hat-trick each while Yakub Rai, Dinesh Karki, Sonam Lama and Bikram Lama added one each for Himalayan Sherpa. Suman Shrestha, Rajendra Khatri and Pukar Chhetri scoerd for Garuda.
