KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Sunil Lama won gold medal in the 21st Annual Hiraldo’s Kai Shobukan Karate-do Championship held on Saturday at the Elmcor Centre in Corona Queens, New York. The 11th South Asian Games gold medallist karateka Lama, who won three bouts on his way to the championship match, defeated Bernard Colonel to finish first. Lama, who also participated in the US Open Karate Championship last month, is scheduled to take part in the Montreal Open in Canada on May 14.
